Every year, the Educator Workshop brings together a different group of leaders shaping endodontic education. In 2026, the focus turns to Endodontic Program Directors—those who lead residency programs, mentor future specialists, manage institutional expectations, support residents in increasingly complex training environments, and bear responsibility for preparing the next generation of endodontists for practice.
Because the program rotates on a three-year cycle, this meeting becomes more than simply another educational event. It is a rare opportunity for Program Directors from CODA and CDAC programs to come together in the same room and focus on the issues that directly impact advanced endodontic education today.
While every institution operates differently, many Program Directors are facing the same questions: How do we recruit and retain strong faculty? How is artificial intelligence changing education and assessment? What are programs seeing in today’s applicant pool? How are institutions adapting to evolving accreditation expectations while maintaining strong educational cultures and resident experiences?
The 2026 program is built by the Educational Affairs Committee around those conversations. Over two days in St. Louis, attendees will hear national updates on residency education, engage in open discussions with colleagues navigating similar challenges, and learn from programs that are finding innovative ways to adapt and succeed. Sessions surrounding faculty recruitment and retention, the admissions process, CODA updates, and artificial intelligence are designed not only to share information, but to spark meaningful discussion among Program Directors who understand the realities of the role firsthand.
Perhaps most valuable is the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day responsibilities of running a program and to spend intentional time with peers who share a commitment to advancing endodontic education. The Educator Workshop creates space to reconnect with colleagues across the specialty, exchange perspectives openly, celebrate successes, and return home with fresh ideas, stronger connections, and renewed energy for the work ahead.
The Educator Workshop is complimentary for invited attendees, and includes hotel accommodations, airfare, and meals provided during the program.
We look forward to meeting with you in St. Louis!
